This card took me two days to make – why? Not because the technique was difficult or the drying took two days – no, it was because I was stuck with no ideas after making the background! 😛
I first made the background. I applied some Broken China distress ink over a piece of card stock. Over this, I applied the embossing paste which I had mixed with Mustard Seed distress ink using the Studio Calico Chevron Mask.
Once this was dry, (and this is where the next day comes in! :P) I cut off a piece making a negative piece of triangle/arrow. I also added a dash-and-circle border on the sides of this piece using Uniball Signo White Gel Pen.
I marked out the area where I would adhere this over the card base and marked it lightly with a pencil. After this I also lightly wrote down the sentiment using the pencil and wrote over it again using a blue glitter pen.
Once this was dry, I added the embossed piece on top using foam tape. I also added a white daisy on one end, and added a big rhinestone on top. This completed my card!
I am submitting this card to the Fusion Card Challenge
