Hello,
Somehow, the card I made this time feels completely different from all the cards I’ve made until now – and I don’t know why! 😀
I started by sponging some Dried Marigold distress ink all over my card base. I then stamped some dots from JustRite Bokeh Time stamp set in ColorBox Orange pigment ink. I stamped them in a polka dot fashion, and also brought a generation stamping – I started stamping in the center and stamped next to it the second and third time without re-inking.
Once this dried I heat embossed the butterfly from Penny Black Soft Wings stamp using Wow Regular Metallic Copper embossing powder. I also stamped the same on some vellum and heat embossed it using Wow Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder. I then fuzzy cut the vellum embossed butterfly.
I stamped the sentiment from Winnie & Walter Big Bold You stamp set and heat embossed it using the same Silver Sparkle embossing powder. I love the beautiful silver glittery look this powder gives! 🙂
I then adhered the vellum butterfly over the butterfly on the card base at an angle, completely adhering the right part of the wing and leaving the left wing free. I then cut it off the side, so that the wing was not hanging off the card.
This completed my card! Thanks for looking! 🙂
Hi Ashwini. Gorgeous design with the brokeh technique background. Love the butterflies done in the different metallic colours .. so pretty! Thanks for joining us at ATCAS.
Thank you very much!
Love that sparkle Ashwini! Hazel x
Thank you Hazel. I had just bought that embossing powder and was itching to try it! 😀
What a stylish and dramatic card, lovely! We do like to see some white space, ideally, for LIM submissions though, do read the guidelines if you’re in doubt 🙂
Thanks so much for joining our 200th Challenge at Less is More

Thanks Anne! You are right, I shall be more thoughtful in the future. 🙂
A super striking card but as Anne says we do prefer to see ‘white space’ at LIM.
Thanks for sharing your card with us for our 200th challenge and hope you’ll play again sometime.

Thanks Sarah! 🙂
Great spotty card and I love that fabulous silver butterfly too Ashwini. Maybe a little more white space as has been said but it’s gorgeous!!! 😉 Viv xx

Thank you Viv 🙂
This is a very spectacular butterfly… as Anne mentioned we do like to see a little white space on our submissions, but it’s a stunning card.
Thanks so much for joining in on our celebratory week!
