Colour Me #58

Hello!

Today’s card is all pink! Well, mostly pink! ;P In fact, it looks almost a dark red in the pics – but, really, its a nice dark pink on a lighter pink 🙂

The card turned out quite different than I imagined – I had initially thought of a white card base, but changed it since the colors were not gelling well together. I thought of using some pearls or rhinestones as embellishment, but, finally couldn’t, since they weren’t bringing the card together – they felt sore, sticking out by themselves, instead of adding ‘that extra beauty’ to the card. Ah, well, that still doesn’t take out the beauty of the card itself! 😛

Colour Me #58I started by picking up some pink color paper and sponging in Aged Mahogany DI through Memory Box Texture Rhapsody stencil. Lying this aside, I picked another piece and also colored it completely in the same Aged Mahogany DI and adhered it to the card base.

I then stamped the flower from Inkadinkado Organic Fabric Flourishes stamp set in Hero Arts black ink on a scrap white card stock, fuzzy cut it and lined the edges with black Copic marker.

Colour Me #58 (close up 1)I then trimmed the stencilled piece and lying it on the card base, drew my initial white dashed line on the color paper below using Unibal Signo white gel pen. I then drew more lines below it. This kinda gave the illusion that there are three base pieces on the card 🙂

I finally adhered the stencilled piece and the flower on the card base using foam tape and foam dots, also partially adhering the flower on the stencilled piece using liquid glue.

Colour Me #58 (close up 2)I then stamped the sentiment, from Hero Arts All Occasion Messages on another scrap piece of cardstock using Hero Arts black ink, trimmed it and adhered it on the card.

Today’s card is inspired by the colors in Colour Me Challenge #58

Colour Me Challenge #58Thanks for looking! 🙂
