Yellow & Grey

Hello!

I made a card this time with a yellow & grey theme. I have been wanting to make a card with these colors since I saw Yana Smakula make a few with the same (here and here)….although she has used black instead of grey! 🙂 I think its a combination that fully brings out the brightness and the cheerfulness of both the colors. So, here’s my card –

Yellow & GreyI started with coloring the stripes on the card base using a yellow Copic marker. I then marked and trimmed the vellum. And after stamping the sentiment from Laurels stamp set from Avery Elle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I adhered it to the card base, adding glue behind the sentiment.

Yellow & Grey (close up 1)I punched out the flowers and the leaves from yellow and dark grey color papers. I then sponged in some Mustard Seed distress ink on the edges of the yellow flower petals. I folded the bigger flowers at the inner corners and curved the petals of all the flowers I had punched out. I then adhered the smaller ones on the larger flowers and adhered the entire stuff on the card, using liquid glue for all but the black flower, for which I used a foam dot. I then added some pearls on the flower centers and on the card as embellishments.

Yellow & Grey (close up 2) And that finished my card! I am submitting this to a few challenges –

Muse Card Challenge #108 – I used the yellow and black theme as in the Muse, Michele Ferguson’s card

Cure For Monday Blues Challenge #46 – This is my first time participating! 🙂 I kept the stripes and the color from the inspiration photo
