Hunny Bunny

Hello! Back with another card today! 🙂

I just  purchased this cute little stamp set from Mama Elephant called Hunny Bunny – and just as the name suggests, its full of cute little bunnies…and I just couldn’t wait to make a card out of them!! 😀

Hunny BunnyI started by cutting out a panel using Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics and then stamped the image of the bunnies using Hero Arts Black ink. I then colored the two bunnies using Spun Sugar and Seedless Preserves distress inks and the sky around them using Broken China distress ink. I then retraced the bunnies using Uniball Signo black gel pen.

Hunny Bunny (close up 1)I then cut out a strip of cardstock, trimmed one of the sides to a fishtail and sponged in some Peeled Paint distress ink. I then stamped the sentiment using Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink – this didn’t stamp as brightly as I thought it would, so I had to trace it again using Uniball Signo white gel pen. I then adhered this to the card panel with the bunnies.

Hunny Bunny (close up 2)Coming to the card base – I masked off the edges and sponged in some Memento Lulu Lavender and Spun Sugar distress inks on opposite corners. I then stamped the little hearts and the carrots using Angel Pink, Lulu Lavender. I also sponged the same inks very lightly on the bunnies card panel. The masking kinda creates the illusion of having an additional layer in between – good thing to do when you want the card to not have too many layers! 🙂

Finally I adhered the card panel on the card base using foam tape. And that finished my card! And …..Love it!! 😀

I am submitting this to two challenges –
