Of Colors and Coloring

PE: CAS(E) This Sketch Honorable Mention!!

CAS Colors & Sketches Winner!! 😀

Hello! I am back after almost a week’s break 🙂 And I have a multitude of cards lined up in posts! 🙂

2015-07-12(1)

Very simple card involving double stamping, stamp kissing and a bit of watercoloring 🙂 I used die-cut foam stamps for the feathers – used Spellbinders Feathers dies. I stamped the feathers using ColorBox Turquoise and Cyan and stamped the pattern using Hero Arts Tweed Pattern stamp and ColorBox Teal and Memento Teal Zeal inks. I then watercolored using ColorBox Turquoise and Cyan. The sentiment is from Just Rite Bokeh Time stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then added some small pearls as embellishment. Submitting this card to the following challenges: Colour Me Challenge #79 Colour Me Challenge #79CAS(E) This Sketch #131 CAS(E) This Sketch #131Less Is More #232: One Layer with Masculine theme Now, for the second card –

For this card, I first drew the lines using Copic Markers and a black marker. I then stamped the flowers from Micia Butterflies In Spring, colored them using the same set of Copics. Finally stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using Black Soot distress ink and added some pearls as embellishment. Submitting this card to the following challenges – Time Out Challenge #35: Nature with the Optional Twist of Animals (no animals here, thought :P) CAS Colour & Sketch Challenge #132 CAS Colour & Sketch Challenge #132Color Throwdown Challenge #350 Color Throwdown Challenge #350Love the fact that both are so simple cards with one layer. Love the color flow in the first and the color difference and impact in the second. 🙂 Please tell me if you liked the cards, and what you liked in them! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
