Background Mania

Hello! The cards I’ve made this time (I think) have a focus on different kinds of backgrounds. Some with pattern paper, some with stamping, inlaid and frames.

My first card is a CASE of this card by Alice Wertz. Made this card for my sis who is holidaying right now! 🙂

Happy TravelsSupplies –

My Favorite Things Some Bunny stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black
Watercoloring using Tea Dye, Peacock Feathers, Mustard Seed, Gathered Twigs distress inks
Sentiment stamped in Paper Smooches Alphadot and Hero Arts Black ink
Fuzzy cut background using pattern paper from K & Company.

My second card is inspired by the black and gold color combination! Mmmm…ecstatic!! 😀

Altenew Persian Motifs CongratsSupplies –

Stamped and gold heat embossed Altenew Persian Motifs and fuzzy cut it.
Stamped and gold heat embossed Penny Black Sentimental
Stamped My Favorite Things Lace Background in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Brustro Iridescent gold metallic paper.

The paper is probably not the best suited for stamping – the ink absorption isn’t that good and it becomes blotchy in places. But I still went with it, since it was only the background, and only a small portion was visible at that. 🙂

For my last card, I used the Ellen Hutson dies that I had been dying to use since they came in last week –

Roses & ThanksSupplies –

Ellen Hutson Bold Blossoms, die cut from card stock colored with Fired Brick distress ink. I just went direct to paper with the ink pad.
The background is stamped using Impression Obsession Circle Fusion 1 using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I swiped my (almost drying) Memento Teal Zeal ink on top…
.. and then die cut a panel using Spellbinders A2 Curved Matting Basics.
The sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler is stamped in Fired Brick distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
