Its been some time since I used these Roses die from Elizabeth Crafts. When I first bought them, I used them so much, I actually made a decision to stop using them for atleast the next few cards. Unfortunately, after that I bought some new stuff and….you know the rest. So, now, after using the awesome dies after so long, I am quite happy with this creation –
I chose some distress inks to color in the roses – I used Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, Picked Raspberry. I used watercolor paper for the bottom, whole die-cut pieces and for the outline, I used normal white card stock. While coloring, I concentrated color in the flower center, reducing the color at the borders. After the watercolor dried, I adhered the pieces together.
I took another card panel, I used a fusion of Weathered Wood and Pumice Stone to create a random watercolored base and adhered the flowers and leaves on top. I stamped the sentiment from Penny Black Sentimental in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Finally adhered this panel to the card base. And that finished my card!
