You’ll know why I named this post so when you look at my card. Its shiny glittery overload. What’s more, I even thought of adding a few clear rhinestones to add some more sparkle on! Did I stop myself in time? What do you think?
If you are thinking ‘What glitter’, then here’s a close with the glitter well shown –
I first picked a watercolor panel and watercolored the base in dark blue, light blue and teal. I then embossed the snowflakes using stamps from Simon Says Stamp Lots of Snowflakes and heat embossed it using Clear Sparkle embossing powder from Wow. I then added some more watercolor – I thought the snowflakes weren’t showing properly. What I should have done is heat embossing first and watercoloring later – I wasn’t thinking right. 😦
Anyway, since there was a lot of glitter showing anyway, I didn’t replace the piece. I then heat embossed the birds from Neat and Tangled My Heart Sings on some vellum, fussy cut them, added glitter using Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen, adhered them to my card. I then added the die-cut sentiment, from Die-Versions Celebrate and added some glitter on that too.
Submitting this card to The Paper Players Chalenge #273: Tic Tac Toe (I played the middle horizontal – Blue, Sparkle/Shine, Embossing), Fusion Card Challenge: Blue Christmas (I tried a fusion again this time – used the snowflake and can you make out the v shape of the watercolor in the background? Please tell me you can! :D) and Bastel Traum Challenge #35: Glitter –
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
