#388 – Bunny Family and a City Scape

PE: Top 3 at Sovushka Slavia Card Sketch Challenge!

Hello! Made these two cards today – I had had the idea for a couple of days and it only turned them into cards today. Here they are –

Warm Thoughts

Made this card using Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes. I stamped the bunnies in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens. I colored the background using Tattered Rose and Cracked Pistachio distress inks, and stamped the falling snow from Simon Says Stamp Falling Backgrounds using Hero Arts Soft Granite, Unicorn White. Even as the pigment ink was wet, I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler in Versamark and heat embossed the whole thing using white ep. I then drew and colored some hats for the bunnies and fussy cut them along with the bunnies.

I added a frame, die cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and adhered all the pieces using foam tape. I then added a bit more color around the sentiment using Zig Cool Grey – it wasn’t that visible originally.

My second card is, I think, something traditional to card making, when it comes to city-scape die cuts –

City Scape

Cut out card stock using My Favorite Things Skyline Border – I colored the grey one by going direct to paper using Pumice Stone distress ink pad. Before adhering the pieces together on the card base, I added a piece of pattern paper beneath that I had designed. I then stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts All Occasion Messages using Hero Arts Neon Blue ink.

#387 – RIC and CAS(E)

Hello!

Made a couple of cards last night. Inspired by the Runway Inspired Challenge and the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge.

My first card is for the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #153

You

I used stamped made from die cutting foam using Spellbinders Feathers dies. I inked them with Hero Arts Soft Pool and Squeezed Lemonade distress ink, misted them a bit before stamping. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti All About You stamp set, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Made my second card for the Runway Inspired Challenge #98

Thanks

For this card, I used Kaisercraft Love Quarters stencil and Ripe Persimmon and Fired Brick distress inks to color the background, which I adhered directly over the card base at an angle. I then die cut My Favorite Things Pierced Flourish from some paper I had colored with silver acrylic paint – looks like a metal embellishment! πŸ˜€ I then die cut the sentiment using Paper Trey Ink Wet Paint from some black foam and some green cardstock and then, after layering this above a white strip of card stock, I adhered it to the card. I then added a few of sequins as embellishment.

#386 – Butterflies

PE: Top Pick at Inkspirational Challenge!

Hello! I made this card a few months ago, but forgot to publish about it. I usually lack creativity when it comes to butterflies on cards; I really struggle with them, believe me! But this one came pretty easy –

Color Throwdown Guest DesignerFor this card, I cut butterflies using Paper Smooches Butterfly Duet and dipped a part of the wings into Tea Dye, Tumbled Glass and Pumice Stone distress inks, while I had applied on my craft mat and misted with water. I then trimmed a piece of white card stock and added a few splotches of watered-down Black Soot distress paint.

Color Throwdown Guest Designer (close up)I then cut out the sentiment using Paper Smooches Hello from Black card stock and black foam and adhered all the pieces together. I also adorned the bigger butterflies by adding Little Things from Lucy’s Shop Champaign sequins. And that finished my card!

#385 – Happy New Year!

Another year (almost) gone, a new year coming! Another reason to make and share cards! πŸ˜€

Made these set of cards (and envelopes) for sharing the new year happiness with my friends –

Happy New Year

Made all of the cards using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and WPlus9 Watercolored Anemones. I just love the watercolor effect created!! ❀ ❀ ❀

Happy New Year

Happy New Year

I used PTI Rustic Cream card stock for all the cards. I just love that cardstock! Gives a special feeling! πŸ™‚ After everything had dried, I stamped the sentiment, from Paper Smooches Alphadot using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then lightly added some shimmer using Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush pen – you can see some of it in the close ups.

And, of course, the envelopes –

Happy New Year

I just stamped the flower-and-leaves image from the stamp set in color co-ordinating inks. I used Hero Arts Butter Bar, Memento Grape Jelly and Memento Lilac Posies inks on the color paper. The sentiment, from Winnie & Walter The Big, The Bold & The Happy, is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.

#384 – December Challenges

Hello! Its Christmas! Merry Christmas to all those celebrating! And to those who are not, I hope these cards can cheer you up just fine! πŸ˜€

Ellen Hutson December Pin-sights Challenge

Made this card for the Ellen Hutson December Pin-sights challenge. I loved the picture inspiration itself –

F9d078f9e3952477bb96f030c26ce707

I picked up the colors and the berry and snow covered branch at the bottom left. I don’t have any Christmas-y stamps or dies from Ellen Hutson with me, so I improvised.Β  I really did want to make a wreath out of something. I chose the die from Ellen Hutson Wild Garden, and cut out pieces from white card stock and vellum. I colored the card stock using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and the vellum with using Deco Art Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint in silver.

I then cut out the square pieces using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares, adhered the vellum and card stock pieces together, stamped the sentiment from Ellen Hutson Bold Blossoms in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the die cut pieces around the sentiment. I then adhered pattern paper from DCWV Christmas & Winter stack on the card base and adhered the square panel on top. I finally added the sequins from Taylored Expression and Pretty Pink Posh on the wreath. That finished my card!

The second card goes to Paper Smooches December Challenge: Flowers

For this card, I used my new Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils and watercolor paper.

Paper Smooches December Challenge - Flowers

I first stamped the flowers fromΒ Paper Smooches Calico using Antique Linen distress ink, after stamping it off once. I then colored them using the color pencils. Since the paper is very toothy, the coloring isn’t very smooth, but I tried applying as much as I could. But I did love the blending very very much! πŸ™‚

Once I was done with the coloring, I trimmed the panel a bit and stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches Simply Said using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then added a strip of pattern paper from DCWV Textures & Finishes on the card base and mounted colored piece on top. I then added a few hologram flower sequins for embellishing.

Here is another card I made with the same setting.

#383 – Sending Warm Wishes

PE: Top 3 at Sovushka Slavia!!

Top 3 at Scrapulechki!!

Scrapulechki - Top 3

Hello! Made this card a couple of days ago –

Sending Warm Wishes

I used one of the new stamp sets in my stash, and one of my favorites – Paper Trey Ink City Scene. I used a combination of inks – PTI inks – Fine Linen, Classic Kraft, Sweet Blush, Soft Cantaloupe, Lulu Lavender and Winter Wisteria – to stamp the buildings and the trees. I then stamped the falling snow using a combination of Hero Arts Soft Pool and Tide Pool. I then sponged in some Soft Pool over it, to make the sky. Finally drew a line using a black pen just below the buildings and stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Any Occasion Messages in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Love the way it turned out. Love the fact that its a one layered card!Β  πŸ˜€ The only thing I didn’t like is that one of the buildings didn’t get stamped well. 😦

#382 – Smile!

PE: My-Scrap.Ru Top 3

Hello! Made this all-triangle-smile card –

Smile

The triangles are the leftover pieces from using the PTI Triangles cover plate – I used it on white, black, grey, hot pink and kraft card stocks. I used the triangles as is for the bigger triangles, and snipped a little off the side for the smaller pieces.

Smile (close up)

I first placed the sentiment I die cut using PTI Wet Paint 3 – I used black card stock and black foam, and adhered it in place. I then adhered the triangles using bits of foam tape. I then added a bit of glitter to some of the triangles using Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen.
