#475 – A Couple of Sketch Challenges

I made a couple of cards for two sketch challenges.

The first card is for the Reverse Confetti May Sketch Challenge. I am also submitting this card to Paru’s Card Making Challenge: May Challenge: Summer

I used Reverse Confetti Love & Ice Cream die and stamp sets and pattern papers from Best of American Crafts and Best of Heidi Swapp.

Oh Yum!

The ice cream is colored using Squeezed Lemonade and Antique Linen distress inks and the cherry using Zig Brush pen. I then added Deco Art Glamour Dust Ultra Fine Glitter Paint in silver on the ice cream and also added Wink of Stella clear glitter over both. For the colorful confetti background, I used JustRite Bokeh Time stamp set with Memento Dandelion, PTI Melon Berry, PTI Classic Kraft and Hero Arts Bubble Gum inks. The sentiment is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black.

Oh Yum!

The second card is for the My Favorite Things: Wednesday Sketch Challenge #180

My Favorite Things - Sketch Challenge

My inital idea was the use feathers from MFT Feathers and Arrows dies, but I changed tracks and used the critter instead.:)

I used My Favorite Things Lacy Background on scrap card stock, trimming it with My Favorite Things Fringe and then with WPlus9 Scalloped Border for the bottom, and along with pattern paper from Fancy Pants Country Boutique for the top piece. I actually stamped and colored the kitty, the fish and the sentiment after I mounted the panel on the card base – I am glad I used plenty of foam tape beneath! 🙂

The stamping is done using Memento Tuxedo Black and all the images and sentiment is from My Favorite Things I Knead You stamp set. I colored them using Faber Castell Polychromos color pencils.

Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
