#500 – Celebrating 500 posts!!!

Hello!! Yup, its the first big one!! So happy about this!! Its been a little over two years since I started this blog, and little more since I came across card making.. and its been a fantastic experience!! 🙂 I can see for myself where I stand now, when compared to when I started – I see even how and where I improved, and I am pretty happy about where I stand now.

To mark this small celebration of mine, I made this card for myself – I’ve combined quite a few of my favorite things here – color blending, sparkle and shine, embossing..I even thought of making it a shaker card, but refrained.. Of course, I like clean and simple as much as I like colors and bling now, but since this was a celebration, I went with the latter! 😉

I’ve used some new and some very old supplies here – the newest being the goody bag from Simon Says Stamp. This is the first time I am using it – I had received April 2015 card kit – and the stamp set in it – Big Birthday Wishes – seemed just perfect to make this card!

And the oldest one – Memento Brilliance inks. I know there are some better metallic inks out there now, but these are one of the first supplies I have brought for card making. I had assumed that they had dried up – imagine my surprise and delight that they were very much not dry!! 😀 I used them to my heart’s content here!! I love the subtle shine it adds – so beautiful! 🙂
