PE: Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge Favorite!!
Hello!
So, I’ve got this small stash of embossing folders, which I really love, but haven’t used enough. And so, I decided to put some to good use. This time, I picked up Spellbinders’ Flora embossing folder.
I also wanted to use this technique, once again, adding distress ink on the folder, misting with water and embossing with it. Now, I had tried this technique before too, and like then, I just couldn’t stop at one panel. Yup, I made some 4-5 before stopping myself!! This is the card I made with one of those panels –
I used Shabby Shutters, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss distress ink with the folder. After it dried, I darkened the edges a bit by blending in Forest Moss and Black Soot distress inks. Then, I just adhered this panel on the card base.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp One With Nature, which I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also added a a piece of doily and then some Studio Calico bird wood veneers.

Thank you so much Channin. I’ve only used one more in a card…and it is coming up next! 🙂
Superb ! I have seen this technique used by many card makers but none of them have used it this effectively …I wonder when my card designs will be as meaningful as yours Ashwini !
But they already are, Pooja! I love your cards! But thank you so much for your compliments!! 🙂
Lovely, Ashwini! I have not used this technique in a long time and you inspire me to try it again. Beautiful results. Thanks for playing along at HLS’ Mixed Media Challenge.

I might pull out my embossing folders Ashwini, I haven’t set embossed in ages! Love the colors again you know green is my weakness ! Such a beautiful sentiment too, we can adapt in our daily lives so well. Specially me with 2 teens😉, I live by 3P’s – patience, persistent, and perseverance!
Thank you so much Rahmat! And I knew you would love it! The greens are so calming too! 🙂 And I can imagine your 3 Ps – but, I guess you really would have to be a parent to really pass that test!! Lol!! 😀

Wow. The glow in the center is fabulous. I love how you were inspired by that cake and kept everything green. And I love that sentiment and how you’ve included that little bit of doily. Adds so much to your design.
