#590 – Off The Page

PE: Featured as a favorite in Color Throwdown 431!

Hello! I am posting another card for the Winnie and Walter 3rd Birthday Celebrations. My main source of inspiration is Keren’s Off the Page Challenge. I never made a card with anything hanging off, thinking I’d never be able to mail it anyway. But I decided to at least give it a try this time – I was sure I would love it…and I did!! 🙂

To make this card, I used one of the flower images from the In Bloom: Addie’s Garden stamp set, which has always given me a hard time with ideas; but seemed just perfect this time. I stamped the images on a scrap cardstock panel using MISTI, then used ink smooshing technique with distress inks. I then fussy cut out the images.

For the sentiment, I used partial die-cutting using the Hello die. I then ink blended the background using distress inks and Scenery – Madison Creative Screenings stencil. I then adhered the flowers and then some small silver sequins for embellishing.

Submitting this card goes to the following challenges from the Winnie and Walter 3rd Birthday Celebrations – Ink Smooshing with Heather H, Sequins Challenge with Kate, Stencil Challenge with Kelly, Off the Page Challenge with Keren, Ink Blending Challenge with Vanessa
