#592 – Modern Art Marbling

PE: Gossip Queen at Taheerah’s Gossip Column challenge!! Yay!! πŸ˜€

At least, that is how this one looks like to me! πŸ˜‰

Modern Art Marbling - Hello

The only time consuming thing in this card is drawing all those separating lines. I had to draw them using a pencil first, then color and then retrace the lines. But if you are confidant enough to draw them using a pen the first time, it becomes even faster.

Modern Art Marbling - Hello

And here’s my inspiration picture, also from Taheerah’s Gossip Column post –

In retrospect, I can clearly see that the lines in my card are a bit harsher. A bit more fluid would have looked a lot better. Like my sister said, they look like lightening bolts.. albeit colorful. Its like the card is threatening with a hello rather than greeting a hello!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ Lesson learnt! πŸ˜‰

Products used: Winnie & Walter In a Word: Hello cutaway, Zig brush pens, Uniball Signo black gel pen. And transparent sequins.

Submitting this to the following challenges –

The Gossip Column with Taheerah Atchia | No.6 – Marble

Winnie & Walter 3rd Birthday Celebration challengesThree Challenge with Shay (three colors – blue, yellow and black) and Pattern-Making Challenge with Mayuri (a very random, marblized pattern)

Thank you so much for stopping by! πŸ™‚

  1. Threatening ..no..no..its like a colorful waterfall !! Modern n retro fusion πŸ™‚ With different types of marbeling techniques your are becoming an expert on it Ashwini !

  2. This is pretty cool! Such a perfect rendition of the inspiration photo! Love the sequins – looks like water!

  3. Hahha, Ashwini, I am laughing after reading your description of the card you made. To my eyes, it looks a very striking card, and yes the lines are bit more prominent. maybe a grey marker would have soften the look, but it doesn’t really matter. As I said it is one stunning card!

    • Thank you so much Rahmat! I agree, but I don’t have a grey marker! I searched for any grey pen in my stash, but no luck. But, as you said it works ok even without.. πŸ™‚
