#599 – Seize the Birthday – Color Splash

Hello! And it time for yet another challenge at Seize the Birthday! The topping this time is to create a Color Splash project. Well, basically, use black and white with one other color in your project.

Seize The Birthday - The Toppings

You still do have the choice of joining us with just a Birthday themed card, if Color Splash is not your style! 😉

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

Here’s my inspiration using Color Splash with Purple color for you –

Birthday Wishes

I first stamped and black heat embossed Penny Black Flower Cascade on water color paper, then colored it with Gansai Tambi watercolors. Once it dried, I die cut this panel using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle and then mounted this on a black card base. I followed up with sentiment die cuts from Memory Box Birthday Script, which I cut from scrap watercolor paper colored using the same purple and Lawn Fawn Cole’s ABCs, cut from black card stock.

Birthday Wishes

So come join the fun with the rest of the DT and our Surprise Party Guest Anita Bowden at the Seize the Birthday blog! 🙂

  1. Ashwini what a stunning creation, dont know if I would ever be game enough to add black in that fashion to a card but I tell you what. It totally works, really highlights the flower perfectly, such talent. Thsnk you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge Aileen DT
