Hello! And it time for yet another challenge at Seize the Birthday! The topping this time is to create use two pattern papers in your birthday project. Just two. No more. No less. 😉
You still do have the choice of joining us with just a Birthday themed card, if you are fresh out of pattern papers (is that even possible?!?!) 😉
Here’ my inspiration card –
I chose pattern papers from American Crafts “Best of American Crafts” stack. I just love the papers from this! In fact I had quite a few matches to select from, and finally chose these two because of the colors – its been some time since I used green and black..(at least when I wrote this, it was! 😉 )
So, after adhering one of the papers on the card base, I die cut the other using Neat & Tangled A Lot To Say die. I then added the sentiment, from Paper Smooches Happy Birthday and the flower from Ellen Hutson Wild Garden, and embellished them with a couple of black rhinestones.
The white line you see around the die cuts is not your imagination or a photo glitch – I stacked the top black die cut on several layers of white die cut – just cuz I wanted to! 😀 A small change from the normal to jazz up the card? 😉
Hope you are inspired! Do come join the fun! There’s a lot more inspiration to be found made by the rest of the DT and our Surprise Party Guest Anita Bowden at the Seize the Birthday blog! 🙂
I am also submitting this card to the following challenges –
