#652 – Dots and Solids

Hello! If you’ve been to my blog before, you’d know that I derive inspiration from a lot of other card makers. Today’s card is also inspired from this card made by Aga. I love how she has created a simple and unique background using simple solid stamps and lots of dots. I knew I wanted to create something similar as soon as I saw it!

So here’s what I made –

I used stamps from Avery Elle – Petals & Stems and Blossoms & Blooms, and stamped the images using some pastel like colors. I then used a black marker pen to add all the dots. It looks like a lot of work, but it really isn’t – barely took me 5 minutes to finish!

For the layer above, I thought of going with a simple BnW image, since I didn’t want it to distract the pretty background. I used Ellen Hutson Mondo Peony, stamped it using black ink, fuzzy cut it and foam mounted it on the card. Same for the sentiment, from Avery Elle Laurels stamp set.

  1. Brilliant, love how you have pulled this card together, the background stamping and dots fab and the stamped but uncoloured flower perfected. Thank you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge Aileen DT
