#666 – Seize the Birthday – Balloons

PE: Top at Sovushka Slavia CAS Marathon Stage 2!

Sovushka Slavia - Top

Hello! Its time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday. The topping this time is to use ‘Balloons’ on your birthday themed project. Of course, as usual, there us also an optional “toppings” challenge, and as long as your project is birthday-related, it’s worthy of entry!

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

For my inspirational card, I chose going CAS, with a critter and balloons!

I wanted this card to focus on the colorful butterfly, so I didn’t color the critter. And its totally quick and easy to make… I simply stamped the critter from Simon Says Stamp Gifts of Love in black ink, and colored only the scarf using Zig Brush pens. I then stamped the balloons, fromΒ Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits in various pigment inks. Finally stamped the balloon strings and bows along with the sentiment, which is also from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits. I then die cut this card using My Favorite Things Blueprints 27 and foam mounted it over a white cardstock. That’s it, done! πŸ™‚

  1. Great design for your card Ashwini! Perfect to let the balloons take center stage and leave your critter without color! Perfect little card and I love all the strings with bows for the balloons!

  2. Love that clean and simple outline critter! And then there are balloons too – you know how to win my heart. Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards.

  3. Well Ashwini, we both used the same stamp set with entirely different results! Love the cat (it is a cat, right?) holding the big, bright bunch of balloons. Such a happy card!

  4. Well, you succeeded Ashwini! My focus was drawn to those fabulous multi colored balloons! Terrific job! It’s so great to be back in the groove! Thanks for your kindness!
