Hello! Its time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday. The topping this time is to use ‘Circles’ on your birthday themed project. Of course, as usual, there us also an optional “toppings” challenge, and as long as your project is birthday-related, it’s worthy of entry!
For my inspirational card, I went with a color palette of green, blue and teal –
The stamps I used for the background are from Winnie and Walter Ring in the Celebration. To make the card, I first created three watercolor panels of blue, green and teal using distress inks, using the smooshing technique. I then stamped the image using either a grey ink or added white heat embossing. I used fuzzy cutting for some images, and used circle dies for whichever would fit.
Then for the sentiment, I die cut the circle frame from white cardstock, and some vellum too and stamped the sentiment from Winnie & Walter Wish Big. Before adhering everything to the card base, I added splatters of blue and teal on the card base, and adhered everything using glue, for a flat finish.
Hope you liked my card. Do join us with your own Birthday creation. For more inspiration check out the the Seize the Birthday blog, where you can also see a totally awesome card from our Surprise Party Guest Becca Cruger!
