Hello! Its time for a new challenge at Little Tangles, and this is also the last challenge of the year! Last challenge for me too, as part of the Little Tangles DT! Makes me so sad.. I’m going miss this team! 😦
The theme this time is ‘Gift Giving’.
Well, I’ve never made anything specifically with this theme in mind. Of course, I’ve made lots of cards and stuff, but nothing else. Now, since it is the last time as DT, I thought of creating something that I’ve never made before. I made some simple gift bags 🙂 –
I’ve not used a die here, just made my own bags here – they are relatively simple to make – just the least bit of measurement, scoring and cutting and glue! I’ve used Neat & Tangled products exclusively on these.
This first bag uses Landscape Textures on the base, on which I adhered a layer of vellum on which I heat embossed some sparkling black embossing powder using the image from Warm Wishes stamp. I trimmed the vellum piece and added clear/white rhinestones on the top and bottom.
On this second one, I again used Landscape Textures for the base, alternating the striped pattern with pinks and grays. I also added some tacky glue on some of the pink solid parts, then added some copper leafing.
On this, I added a layer of Doily Tag die cut, the Happy Holiday die cut, which I cut from pink cardstock and added a partial layer of copper leafing, and also a leaf from Flower Medallion Builder, which I heat embossed using copper embossing powder. I also added a few pink pearls along the side.
On this last one, I used distress inks in various shades of green to stamp the tree images from both Winter Wishes and Landscape Textures. I used Winter Wishes combined with the sentiment from Art Deco, which I heat embossed using Verdigris embossing powder. I then trimmed the vellum panel using one of the Scalloped dies and adhered it on.
I loved these small gift bags – in fact, they have inspired me enough to not buy any bags anywhere, and try to make them myself if I ever were to use one for gifting!! 😉 So, I hope they inspire you too!
I am joining the following challenges with these gift bags –
Lastly, a big shout out to Heather and Danielle for having me over as part of this fantastic team, and to Agniezska and Shona, my wonderful teammates over this past year! It was definitely a great experience, and something I’ll never forget! Thank you so much!!
Hop over to the Little Tangles blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the very talented DT!
Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you come b again!
