#717 – Guest Designing for Sovushka Slavia CASEing Challenge

Hello! I am super excited to be joining the Sovushka Slavia CASEing Challenge as a Guest Designer! Its one of the challenges that I am always eager to play, and it is wonderful to be able to join them this time!

For this CASEing challenge, we are CASEing Laurie Willison. Here’s her simple and beautiful card –

Love the kraft base, the clean embossing and the minimal coloring! My CASEd version carries a neutral card base, embossing and the minimal coloring (?) using three colors –

I used Simon Says Stamp Emma stamp, stamped it on gray cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then clear heat embossed it. I then watercolored portions of the image using red, pink and blue perfect pearls. They are just perfect for watercoloring and getting that beautiful satin shine! Love it!!

Once that dried, I trimmed the panel, then mounted it on a white card base. I then added a circle of vellum die cut using Mama Elephant Dew Fancy dies. I finally added the sentiment, stacked, die cut using the Memory Box Hello Script die.

Since the shine of the embossing and the perfect pearls was plenty, I refrained from adding any more embellishments.

I am also joining the following challenges with my card –

Tic Tac Toe challenge #31 (I chose Pink, Red and Light Blue)

Happy Little Stampers: January Watercolor challenge: Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Add a Sentiment

  1. A beautiful masterpiece! Gorgeous clear embossing over the black ink! Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your creation with us at Tic Tac Toe Challenges!

  2. Congrats on the GD Ashwini, you have made a beautiful card, the embossing looks so effective! Finally stopping by your blog to leave some love, thank you for leaving your lovely comments on almost every post of mine, and I am so sorry to come back so late. Believe me life is hectic! I thought with teens life would be free, but it’s a different kind of rush, and I would be doing exactly the same things again with my daughter next year, as she will grade 12 then! Phew!

  3. This is stunning! I love your entry for our challenge this month! Thanks so much for joining us this month at Happy Little Stampers Watercolor Challenge!
