Hello! I am continuing making easy-to-make cards, trying to bait my lost mojo. This card here is inspired from the colors in the inspiration from the Ellen Hutson challenge –
I stamped the big Mondo Magnolia flower from Ellen Hutson in MFT Hybrid ink, then drew some leaves and colored them both using Zig brush pens. I then fussy cut this and set it aside.
To create the background, I chose craft cardstock and randomly stamped a leaf image from Reverse Confetti Tall Blooms, first in white pigment ink, then, once it dried, in a purple ink. I then foam mounted the magnolia image on top.
The sentiment comes from Winnie & Walter In Bloom: Carolina’s Florals and Hero Arts All Occasion Messages. These too, I fussy cut and foam mounted. To embellish, I added some black glitter stickles on the flower and a pink pearl in its center.
I am joining the following challenges –
Addicted to Stamps challenge #296: Anything Goes
Ellen Hutson May Color Trends Challenge: Floral Fantasies
The Flower Challenge #38: One from Previous challenge (I chose challenge #3, which is ‘To use an older stamp/die’)
Thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂
Wow, I first thought the BG leaves to be embossed ,very nice effect you have achieved by double stamping them.Beautiful card !
Thank you so much Pooja!!
Boy its been awhile since I have had time to come and comment, I get all your posts in my emails but of course I end up running out of time to come visit. I shouldn’t because it is nice to come and say hello. This time Im here because Im visit from The Flower Challenge and wow have you done a wonderful job with that Mondo flower. This is another flower I haven’t had out for a while, we get so busy buying new and forget what we have. I love this colour combination you have done and by keeping it loose there is no worry of the colours not working together. It looks fabulous and something I must try. Thank you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge and we hope to see you there again soon. Aileen DesignTeam
