#807 – Seize the Birthday – Confetti

Hello and welcome to yet another new challenge at Seize the Birthday! We also have an optional topping, meaning you can join us with a birthday project carrying the ‘Optional Topping’ theme, or you are free to join us with any birthday project at all – your choice!

This time we have the optional topping of ‘Confetti’, chosen by Colleen. Its just perfect with even the new year just starting!!

I made a quick and easy card having confetti background for the card and the balloon..and the embellishment! I stamped the coral cardstock using Winnie & Walter Happy Dance, using white pigment ink (which was just a bit too juicy to leave proper pigment!!) and a couple of tone-on-tone inks. I die cut this using MFT Blueprints 27 and adhered it over a white card base.

For the balloon, I used JustRite Bokeh Time in a few different colors. The balloon is die cut using Winnie & Walter Big Round Balloon die. I added a layer of translucent paper in between, so that the colors are a bit muted. Then I added the sentiment using the Honey Bee Stamps Hooray Day die cut and Hero Arts All Occasion Messages stamp. After adhering this on the card, I added a few wood veneer embellishments, which I die cut using Mama Elephant Confetti dies.
