#827 – Shine Bright!

Hello! Yet again, it is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday. The topping this time is ‘Sunshine’, from Nancy. Since the topping is optional, you are completely free to not use it, and make a birthday project with any theme at all, to join us!

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

I knew what I wanted to use from my stash as soon as I saw this topping!!

I really wanted to use the Reverse Confetti My Sunshine, which I had in my stash for such a long time without being used! After die-cutting and stamping the sun with the colors that I wanted, I went to the background.

I used Studio Calico Circle Graph stencil and applied distress inks of red, orange and yellow through it, generating radiant sun’s rays. I then used a handmade cloud stencil and added clouds around the sun’s rays using the lightest shade of blue distress ink I had (somehow barely visible in the photos!!). Finally I added the last line of sentiment, from Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday Wishes. And a few sequins to embellish. And that’s my card ready!

Hope you enjoyed my card. Remember to check up on the Seize the Birthday blog for more creative inspiration from the rest of our design team and of course, from out talented Surprise Guest Sue Mohr! And don’t forget to join us using your own birthday project!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
