Hello and welcome to the newest edition of the Inspiration Station Challenge!
Its the 6th challenge and my sister chose the theme this time. This is one of the shots that my sister took from her supply of beads –
Isn’t it gorgeous! I love those arrays of pearls and beads, all so all with that silvery sheen and shine!! I made my card to reflect those rows and rows of colorful semi circles!
I didn’t have anything semi-circular that would work with my idea, instead I used this lacy die, to imitate the colorful rows. I used Lacy Border die from Joy Crafts on several pieces of pattern paper I picked using the colors from the pic as the reference. Since I wasn’t able to do partial die cutting to ensure that I get a larger area on the top, I stuck the two pieces together using some cellophane tape on the back. I did this to get an extended area which I could use adhere each piece with dimension.
Before adding these on the card, I blended in some Antique Linen distress ink to the bottom of the card base. I wanted to get a slanted dimension with the die cut pieces. To achieve this, I used little strips of foam tape near the side with the pattern and glue on the upper end, which had the extended piece of pattern paper adhered. After doing this for each piece, I then adhered them one by one on the card.
I then came to the sentiment. Its from The Stamp Market called Scripty Sentiment. I stamped this on a scrap piece of cardstock and then mounted it on the card using foam tape. I then added a thin strip of cardstock, which I painted using a silvery sparkle paint. Finally I added a few pearls to finish the card.
Checkout what my sister has made! This time, she has made a stunning piece of mixed media with a sea theme. It looks absolutely fantabulous!!
And thanks for stopping by!

I loved your card when you showed it to me then, and I love it now! It’s delightful how there’s layer upon layer of uniform but unique pieces, and to top it, the card has great tactile texture too. ❤
Thank you sis!! I only wish it was an original idea!! 😀
Everything is inspired by something… 😉
I can perfectly relate your card to the shimmery inspiration that Anita shared. Yes, those rows of pearls and beads are scrumptious!
I still have something to do for the last Inspiration Station Challenge. I dyed a piece of fabric… in fact I already had it, but nothing came to mind on how to finish it. I now have a few ideas, so we’ll see how it goes…
Oh wow!! I am eager to see it!! And what you might create with it too! Thanks for joining us!! 😁
