#852 – STB: Creatures Great and Small

Hello and welcome! Time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday. Cathy picked the topping this time, and it is ‘Creatures great and small’. Since the topping is optional, as your project is birthday-related, it’s worthy of entry.

What I have for you is actually a card that I made quite some time ago, and completely forgot about. The other day, I was cleaning up everything and found this, and wondered why I never published it! But since it fit the theme very well, I thought it perfect to post it now. ๐Ÿ™‚

The cute critters come from Penny Black Stuck on You stamp set, and the sentiments are from Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday Wishes. I also stamped little dots using almost dried up metallic pigment inks surrounding all the critters, and the bee. I don’t completely remember how I colored them all, but I think I water-colored them using distress inks.

Do you have something buried and forgotten too? You can still post about it, and of course, join the challenge if it is birthday themed! You can find more inspiration at the Seize the Birthday challenge blog, where our DT and our wonderful Surprise Party Guest, Joyce Mehrberg have tons of inspiration for you!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. What an adorable card!! I definitely want to dig through my stash and try to make something similar! I live the way you colored each little section and the โ€œalmost driedโ€ ink dots are a perfect touch!

  2. I am in agreement with everyone…love the layout of this card! This is a treasure to be found right in time for this challenge. Great job!
