#884 – Friends Make…

PE: Winner at CrafTangles challenge!!

Top Pick at Inkspirational challenge!!

Inkspirational - Winner

Hello and welcome! I was so hungry to make something this week. Somehow the week went by too quickly, but I was able to find some time to create something. And since it had been some time since I did watercoloring for fun, that’s what I did! 🙂

I used CrafTangles watercolor paper. The images are from My Favorite Things Piggy Pebbles and Purple Onion Designs Blooms. I stamped them in a light grey ink instead of black. This helps in two ways – one, gives it a softer look and two gives the image a sort of no-line-colored look, though not completely. Though this is the first time I tried grey ink, I totally loved it!

So anyway, I used distress inks for watercoloring once I had finished all the stamping. The sentiment, from Mama Elephant Ella & Friends, came in the last. I had thought of using this a bit differently, so I roughed up the edges for a distressed look, but then I ended up with this simple layout on the card instead. Finally, I added a bit of sparkle on the raindrops using Spectrum Noir clear sparkle brush pen.

With this card, I am joining the following challenges –

  1. This is such a sweet card! I agree, sometimes stamping in grey is the way to go, and it definitely was for this card. Such an adorable scene! Thanks for joining us at Inkspirational!

  2. Wow I love this coloring so much Ashwini, the clouds and rain – you have captured it so well, not easy to do at all.
