#927 – Here For You

Hello and welcome! We have a new challenge at Tic Tac Toe challenge, the theme of Spring/Easter/Sympathy continues and this time LeAnne has created for us a new board –

I used the last column of Leaves/Tree – Green – Die cut and made this card –

To start with, I first watercolored a shiny background on watercolor paper using Gansai Tambi Starry Nights watercolors. I then added a few splatters of brown, once the paint dried. Once that too dried, I die cut the panel using Winnie & Walter Essentials: Lana Cutaways. I foam mounted this on a kraft card base.

I heat embossed the wreath from Pink Fresh Studio Delicate Wreath using Verdigris embossing powder. This gave it a beautiful metallic finish. I then fussy cut the wreath and foam mounted it on the card. I then die cut the sentiment using Altenew Essential Sentiment Strips from kraft cardstock. I cut out a couple of pieces more and adhered them to the kraft die cut to give it some dimension and adhered this over the card. I also added a couple of bird wood veneers from Studio Calico, to finish my card.

Joining these challenges with my card –

  1. My first thought was “Is that wood veneer ? ” Not just the birds ,the sentiment strip too ! You come up with most out of the box ideas Ashwini..the way you use different products on cards is amazing !

  2. Your background is so wonderful. I love all of the elements you used to adorn it. The sparkly wreath goes wonderfully with the rustic birds and the die cut sentiment. Great card. Thanks for sharing at Time Out. It’s always a joy to see your work.
