#937 – Congratulations

Hello and welcome! A new challenge is up at the Tic Tac Toe challenge. Betty has given us the board this time and we have a new theme – ‘Dad/Masculine/Congrats‘

I chose the top row of Congrats-Leaves-Heat Embossing and created this card –

A very easy card to make – I started with the leaves. After die cutting several pieces from Simon Says Stamp Eucalyptus Leaves die, I adhered them together and then heat embossed them with silver pearl embossing powder. This seemed a bit plain, so I sprinkled a bit of silver embossing powder on the bottom of each leaf and embossed the rest once again with the silver pearl embossing powder. This covered the entire area and also gave it a neat dimension, while still retaining the grooves from the die cutting.

For a base, I used grey card stock from Fabrinano Elle Erre and stamped black ink using My Favorite Things Geometric Grid. I foam mounted this layer on a black card base after trimming it to size. For the sentiment, I used a sentiment from Altenew Beautiful Lady, heat embossed it using silver embossing powder on black cardstock. This too, I foam mounted on the card.
