Hello and welcome! We’re half way through the year!! Wow! Start of a new month and start of a new challenge at the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor challenge. As usual, any project which involves watercolor in some form or other is eligible!
And here’s what I have for you this month –
Another one of my experiments from last year. I knew about negative watercoloring, but hadn’t applied it till then. Its a concept of watercoloring (which I might guess can apply for any kind of coloring) where an object emerges by coloring not the object, but the surroundings. So, if I want a leaf, I am not coloring the leaf itself, but around it, giving it form.
I was inspired by this fantastic piece of watercoloring by PearFluer in YouTube, and decided to give it a try myself. Of course, mine isn’t anything as impressive as hers, but I would pat myself on the back for a good first attempt! 🙂
I watercolored on Hndmd watercolor paper using Gansai Tambi watercolors.
And that’s all I have for today. Don’t forget to checkout more wonderful inspiration from the Happy Little Stampers Watercolor challenge Design Team. And more importantly, watercolor, have fun and join the challenge!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
