Hello and welcome! Time for a new Tic Tac Toe challenge and this time we have the board created by Betty, following the theme of ‘Summer Entertaining/Weddings’ –
I chose the mid row – Die-cut – Sentiment – Metallic and this is what I made –
I am actually CASE-ing this card by the incredibly talented Dilay Nicar – its just so full freshness!! Of course, with plenty of changes, mine looks more like a wedding card than hers! 😀
I started by die cutting the concentric circles I would be using. I cut them out from beige cardstock using Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Circles and added dimension to each piece by adhering 3 of each together. For the card base, I die cut a panel using a die from Mama Elephant So Sew dieset, partially diecutting it to make it lengthier than it would be when using the die as is. I then added splatters of light brown die ink, let them dry and finally I adhered these circles on top, trimming and reusing whatever leftover piece I could to fill in the panel.
I chose the colors for my flowers as purple, peach and pink and picked two shades of each to stamp the florals and leaves using stamps from Lesia Zgharda – Kvitys Contours, Fern and Leaflets.I also used Altenew Antiuqe Gold ink on the flower centers to add a bit of shine. I then trimmed each of the images and arranged them on the panel. For adhering, I used glue on some of them, and a bit of foam tape on the others for some more dimension.
I then adhered this over a white card base, and trimmed any extra length of cardstock. For the sentiment, I first applied double sided tape over scrap white cardtock and added holographic foil over it. I then die cut the ‘congrats’ using My Favorite Things Congrats die. For the stamped part, I selected one from Waffle Flower Congrats stamp set and heat embossed it using platinum embossing powder over the same white cardstock, trimmed it to size and cut out triangles from both ends to get the mini banner. I then adhered the congrats die cut to a few extra pieces that I had die cut and then adhered it over my card along with the foam mounted stamped sentiment piece. For embellishing, I used a few double colored sequins and a few white sequins.
And that finished my card. Checkout more fantastic inspiration from the rest of the DT and our special guest designer at the Tic Tac Toe challenge blog and don’t forget to join the fun!
