#961 – Inspiration Station Challenge #16

PE: Inspirational challenge Top Pick!!

Inkspirational - Winner

Watercooler Rocker at Watercooler Wednesday challenge!!

Watercolor Wednesday - Honorable Mention

Hello and welcome! And we have another issue of Inspiration Station challenge! Somehow, even though my sister and I got our makes ready, we are a bit late in posting. Somehow. 😛

But here’s the 16th challenge! A Tic Tac Toe challenge given by my sister –

And here’s what I made –

This is actually my second attempt at this challenge. My first is this one, where I got the sequins wrong by using rhinestones instead. And since I already had an image of something like this in my mind, I guess that became a good excuse to work on some watercoloring! 😛

I had this image in mind of sea and a journeying whale jumping from the water in front of a gigantic moon. I thought of somehow adding the stripes in the waves. My image of the waves was a bit different with what I made in the end, but I am still pretty happy. And that whale needed a bit of working on its jaw (but there I disagree with my mother who said it looked like a bat!!!) But I have to admit I am pretty happy and delighted with my work this time! 🙂

I found most of my inspirations from Pinterest. And after drawing a bit using a light touch of a pencil, I used Gansai Tanbi watercolors on CrafTangles water color paper and Sakura white gelly pen to add the shine to the whale’s eye.

Checkout my sister’s creation this time! A simply spectacular usage of a die cut stencil with some skillful doodling. Her art journals are an inspiration! 🙂

I’m joining the following challenges –

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge: Summertime Blues

SSS - Wednesday Challenge

Watercooler Wednesday challenge #321: All Things Masculine

Inkspirational challenge #245: Journey

Thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂

  2. Ok I am sorry but I had to laugh at your mom’s comment 🤣 and I agree with you, it does look like a whale only. Nice imagination you had with the moon and whale jumping in water.
    Nice card.
Sorry it had taken me longer this time to visit your blog.

  3. No sign of a bat on your picture from where I am sitting. I think your water colouring is pretty amazing. I know exactly what it is like when you have something in your head but it is not translating onto the page properly, but this time it didn’t matter because it is so good. Love that moon too. thank you for your comments on my blog. Sometimes I would like to reply to you so I wonder if you would be able to share an email address with me. You can send me an email through my blog, it is on the right hand side bar, but you have to scroll down to the end. Only if you are happy to of course xx

  4. WOW! This is an amazing work of art in every way! The waves fabulous; your whale, incredible! All this needs next is a frame! So impressive! Thrilled you shared this in the Inkspirational Journey challenge!
