#1040 – All Hugs

Hello and welcome to another new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge. As the name suggests, this is ‘Anything Goes‘ challenge, as long as you are using dies to make your project.

Here’s what I made for your inspiration this time –

I started with the die cut – I used Stamplorations Bloomtangled 1 to die cut 2 panels of white cardstock and adhered them together. I then trimmed the piece diagonally and adhered it on another piece of white cardstock and trimmed that also along the same line.

Next, I used Altenew Hannah Elements with Adirondack Ginger ink and then colored it using Zig Brush Marker pens. I then adhered the die cut panel on top. Since I didn’t want the trimmed edge to be visible, I added a strip of washi tape on top. The washi tape also has a bit of gold foil on it for some subtle bling! 🙂

Finally I added the sentiment. I used Simon Says Stamp/CZ Designs Hugs die to cut 2 pieces of pink and 2 pieces of black cardstock, and white cardstock for the shadow die. I stacked the die cuts together, adhered them and added them to the card. I refrained from adding any more embellishments, since there were plenty of details in the card already! 🙂

And that’s my card! And I’m joining these challenges –

#1036 – Thinking of You

Hello and welcome! Today we have a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers: Anything Goes with Dies.

And here’s what I made for your inspiration –

I started with the rose – using the stamps from Concord & 9th called Painted Rose on white cardstock and then the coordinating dies to die cut them. Next, the background. I used My Favorite Things Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner, I die cut a piece of white cardstock, then used Concord & 9th Sketched Stripes to stamp a grid in black ink. For the card base, I used black cardstock, then stamped a few big sentiments from a couple of Winnie & Walter stamp sets – The Big, The Bold and The Happy and The Big, The Bold and You – in white.

I adhered the layers together using foam tape and then stamped the sentiment using stamps from The Big, The Bold and You stamp set on a bright orange cardstock, fussy cut it and foam mounted it on the card.

#1032 – Paper Hugs

Hello and welcome! Today starts the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge.

And here’s what I made –

I started with the background die cuts. I die cut 4 pieces of white cardstock using the Dress My Craft ‘Oriental Lace Border’ die. I then adhered two of the pieces together for some dimension. I then cut some scrap white cardstock using the Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms, and then added color on them using distress inks. I then adhered the arrangement on a cream colored card base.

I then adhered the sentiment, from My Favorite Things Bitty Hugs and Kisses and added a few small pearls for embellishing the flowers and the background die cut. And that completed my card!

#1026 – Merry Christmas

Hello and welcome! As the days go by, we’re fast nearing Christmas. In fact, even though I don’t celebrate it, I can’t help getting a little excited! And as a card maker, what better way than to make more Christmas cards! Challenges are just a reason. So here’s one more – Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies challenge!

And here’s what I made –

For the base, I embossed a panel of white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Vine Canopy. I then tore a panel from the pattern paper pad Christmas Bells from Dress My Craft, adhered it on top. Then I die cut another panel with Santa and the kids using a circle die and another circle frame using Reverse Confetti Lacy Scallop Circles from the same white cardstock. I then dabbed green distress ink on top of the frame and adhered it to the pattern paper die cut. For embellishing it, I die cut a bow from Paper Smooches Bows and dabbed red distress ink on top. I also added a drop of gold Nuvo drop on top of the bow and adhered it on the frame.

For the sentiment, I used Paper Trey Ink ‘Tis The Season’ stamp set, stamped in red over the white card panel and then trimmed it to size, before foam mounting both the Santi frame and the sentiment on the card. And that finished my card!

#1022 – Die cutting Pre-Watercolored Panels

Hello and welcome! I’m starting with the Happy Little Stampers ‘Anything Goes with Die’ team starting this month! Kylie had asked me to join earlier but I couldn’t find time with the move happening. So, I’m happy to join this time! As the challenge theme suggests, anything goes as long as there is some die cutting in the project!

And here’s what I made –

Since I had my Brusho pigment powders out already when I made my Watercoloring project, I picked another couple of panels of watercolor paper and used the Brushos on them as well. I used considerably lighter than pigments on one than other, ensuring that there would be some contrast between the two once I die cut them.

Once dry, I cut out the panels using Altenew ‘Dog Rose’ dies. I also die cut them out of plan watercolor paper, which I adhered behind the watercolored ones, and then adhered them together. Together all 4 panels gave some dimension. I then embossed the card base using Spellbinders Regal embossing folder and adhered the die cut piece on top. For sentiment, I used a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Scrumptious Script, which I fussy cut and foam mounted below the die cut.

And that’s my card! Checkout more wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team at the Happy Little Stampers blog.
