#580 – Chasing Mojo and Wishing You..

PE: Headliner at The Paper Players!!

Hello! I am submitting another card for the Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin challenge.

This time, I am CASEing the amazing lady herself – Ksenija aka Sweet Kobylkin (finally, yay! πŸ˜‰ ). Here’s her card to CASE

Here’s how Kseija has made her beautiful card -masking, ink blending and then taking off the mask to stamp. I didn’t realize how sweet this technique is until I made a card with the same!

I just switched the colors and the layout..and such a splendid effect!! Of course, I do have a little goof-up! 😦 See the bottom right edge? See how it is no bright white?? That’s because, when I first made the card, I hadn’t blended the ink over the entire card, it was only on the right half. But once done, I decided to add the color over the entire card, and since I had already colored the right, I didn’t mask it…and then when I came back to darken it up a little…sigh… I guess it could have been worse…and yes, I was too lazy to start over! πŸ˜‰ Well, I will definitely be making more with this technique, so.. yes, I think I’ll get over this little mistake in no time! πŸ˜›

#579 – Chasing Mojo with Hello

PE: Winner of Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes Monthly Challenge!!

Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes Winner Badge

Hello! Today I am presenting another card for the Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin challenge.

The card tis time is inspired by this card by Anna Ignatenko … such a cute and adorableΒ  card!! Here’s what I made –

One of the simplest card I made.. and it came together very quickly too! I did use my MISTI to stamp the pretty (mostly covered) background – since the image is very fine, and I wanted to stamp multiple times using different colors. Other than that.. straight forward stamping, coloring and die cutting. I love it when cards are created like that! πŸ˜‰

Supplies used –
Happy Little Stampers Whimsical Friends
Inkadinkado Batik Cartouches
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles
Zig brush pens for coloring

I am also submitting this card to –

#578 – Chasing Mojo with Thanks

Hello! I am back with another card I made inspired by the entries for CASEing in the Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin challenge.

This time, I am CASEing the wonderfully talented Melissa. I absolutely love her mixed media cards (& projects) and her love (craze??) for butterflies, even though I don’t use them as much as she does! πŸ˜‰

Here’s the card she has shared for us to CASE –

And here’s my inspired card –

I did the stamping using die cut foams, and used blues, as in my inspiration. Once I was done with the stamping, I added lots of water splotches, the water flowed a bit to spread a bit of the color. Once dry, I added a few splatters of yellow, die cut the panel, die cut the sentiment, sponged some more blue ink at the bottom and through the sentiment, and finally adhered it on a white card base.

Supplies used:
Spellbinders Feathers dies
My Favorite Things Pinking Edge Rectangle die
Paper Trey Ink Wet Paint die
Distress inks in Broken China, Peacock Feathers and Mermaid Lagoon
Camel Drawing ink in Lemon

I am also submitting this card to the following challenge –

Inkspirational Challenge #126: Flutter (all fluttering feathers, of course!!) –

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Icicle (inspired by all the blues!) –

Thank you so much for stopping by! πŸ™‚

#577 – Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin

I am playing with the very talented Ksenija at her challenge to get back the mojo for the new year – Chasing Mojo with Sweet Kobylkin.

I had given a card to case just a couple of days ago –

{original post}

And I made this card as the CASE of my own card –

I made the card with a few common things being – solid leaf stamps, distress inks in mostly green and a little blue, black splatters, the watercolored background and colors and the sentiment at the bottom – and a few different things – I stamped the inks with a bit of inking+misting first, then stamped them once they had dried, using a shade darker ink, stamped it directly (no misting). And of course, the white sentiment is a die cut instead of black stamping.

This card does look a bit more haphazard than the previous one (at least I think so) but I love that look – a sort of ‘random’ look – I usually find that difficult to achieve, so I am happy about that! πŸ™‚

Here’s the supply list:
Altenew Lacy Scrolls
Lawn Fawn Quinn’s ABCs
Distress inks in greens and blues.

Thanks for stopping by! πŸ™‚

#575 – A Challenge to Get Your Mojo Back!

I just read this post by the very talented Ksenija (aka Sweet Kobylkin). This sweet lady just came up with a fantastic idea to help get the mojo back for the new year, for those who are having trouble finding it… any guesses why I am writing this post??? πŸ˜‰

What is this fantastic idea, you ask? Well the basic idea is CASE – CASEing your own card, other’s cards – I find it to be a very inspiring idea – and hopefully I’ll get my mojo back too! πŸ™‚ Here are the details, if you’d like to join too!

And here’s the card that I am sharing to CASE –

You're Amazing

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great crafting time!
