#703 – Warmest Wishes

Hello! I decided to make another card for the Winter Coffee Lovers’ Blog Hop. Since my last card was something I had made an year ago, I felt I had to make something fresh and join again. Moreover, I haven’t really made that many Christmas cards either, so here goes –

I stamped the plaid on a kraft card panel using pigment ink, die cut the wreath and mounted it on a white card base. The coffee cup is colored using distress oxide inks, with a little bit of splattered water. I combined products from a lot of companies here, and that makes me happy! 🙂 Here’s the list –

#701 – Warm Winter Wishes

Hello! This here is a card I made quite a long time ago. Last year, in fact. Yes. That long ago, and I haven’t published it at all. I missed posting it then, and then thought I should wait for winter before posting about it. So here it is, at last! 😉

The products are all Paper Smooches. I used aluminum foil on the card base. On that I added a watercolor panel, on which I had added gold watercolor (from Gansai Tambi Starry Nights) and die cut lots of snowflakes using one of the die from Mittens die set. The coffee cup is from Cozy Coffee, on which I smooshed some distress ink, and used Stitched Flourishes die to indicate some steam. The sentiment comes from Winter Sampler stamp set.

#634 – Coffee Loving Friends

Hello! I am back with another card for the Coffee Loving Card Makers’ Summer Blog Hop 2017 (here’s my first card)! This time, I am using something I bought a couple of weeks ago, but hadn’t used yet – Waffle Flower Bear and Bird stamp set. Such a cute stamp set, I just loved it the moment I saw it!

Here’ what I made –

I first die cut a watercolor paper panel using Paper Trey Ink Center Style: Femine die, then stamped my images using Antique Linen distress inks. I then colored it Prima watercolor pencils.  Finally came the sentiment, from My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental About Coffee stamp set, which I stamped using Hero Arts Charcoal ink.

I chose a pale yellow cardstock as the card base, and added texture to it using Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders dies, then foam mounted the watercolor panel on top.

#633 – A Cup of Love

Hello! Its been a long time since I made something coffee/tea themed, and since the Coffee Loving Cardmakers’ Summer Blog Hop is going on, I thought it the perfect opportunity to get going! 🙂

Following the sketch from the latest MFT Sketch Challenge, I first colored the base using My Favorite Things Chunky Herringbone stencil and Pumice Stone and Weathered Wood distress inks. I hadn’t yet decided on the layer in between, so I decided to go wit the coffee cup instead. I die cut My Favorite Things Cool Cup out of white cardstock twice, and trimming out the mid piece in the second piece, I stamped the flowers and leaves from My Favorite Things Mini Modern Blooms, then applied a bit of Tumbled Glass distress ink on the open sides. I also die cut the lid and straw out of blue colored vellum, and then adhered all the pieces together.

Now, I came to the frame. I had this piece of die cut square frame with vellum adhered on the inside, left unused from a previous project, I thought it would fit well. I stamped this frame using the same Mini Modern Blooms flowers and leaves, then adhered this over the base. I then foam mounted the cool cup, then added the sentiment from My Favorite Things cup of Tea stamp set. I added a few dots of Nuvo Drops for embellishing.

#328 – Autumn Coffee Lovers Blog Hop – Take Two

Quite pumped up – my second card for the Autumn Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

For this card, I first stamped the coffee mug from Micia Tea Time in Antique Linen distress ink and colored them using dark and light combinations of distress inks – Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, Ripe Persimmon, Aged Mahogany – and finally Brushed Corduroy for the coffee itself. I then fuzzy cut the mugs. For adorning the mugs I stamped little stars and dots using Purple Onion Designs Confetti in Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink.

I then stamped a card panel using Purple Onion Designs Confetti in Memento Grey Flannel and watercolored them using Iced Spruce distress ink.  I then trimmed the edges a bit and adhered them on the card base. I then adhered the coffee mugs and the sentiment, which is from My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental About Coffee stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

As an afterthought (which was when I was photographing the card! :P) I added two strips of silver glitter washi tape on the sides – makes the edges stand out a bit more, don’t you think? 🙂
