Hello! And here’s the last of the trio of cards I had made (first one here and the second one here)..
On this card too, I tried making the background using pretty, shiny acrylic paints. But instead of using foil, I used embossing powder. In fact, I thought that the embossing powder might also stick to the paper like the foil did, but no suck luck.. guess the stickiness is not as much! 😛 So, I had to use Versamark ink, as per usual.
Anyway, on this card, I used Art Alchemy Metallique Mermaid Teal. This didn’t spread/apply as clearly as the Rusty Red paint, so I could see stripes of dark and light (I brushed the paint on using vertical brush strokes), but this is mostly covered by the embossing and further by the vellum. Of course, it did look pretty even otherwise, and went well with the variegated look of the Verdigris embossing powder.
Anyway, I used Neat and Tangled Rice paddies stencil along with Neat and Tangled stamps Winter Wishes and Art Deco for the scene and sentiments, with Neat and Tangled Scalloped die for diecutting the vellum panel.
