Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

Here’s the card I made for your inspiration –

Celebrate

I used Lil Inker Designs Geometric Snow for dry embossing the background, then used candles from Simon Says Stamp Big Birthday Wishes. The sentiment comes from Winnie & Walter Wish Big with Evelin T Designs. I added a few gold sequins as embellishment.

#720 – Guest Designing at Tic Tac Toe challenge

Hello! Today I have the pleasure of Guest Designing at the Tic Tac Toe challenge! I am so happy and so excited!!

Here’s the tic tac toe board for the challenge #33

Challenge Board

Though not in a single line, I wanted to include a kraft card base and use red in my card. The only solution? Use two lines! So, I’ve used both Sentiment-Die cut- Kraft and Red-Die cut-Vellum in my card. And here it is –

Celebrate - Its Your Day

I used My Favorite Things Flashy Florals and Distress Oxide Inks to stamp the images on a Kraft card panel. I die cut the panel using a die from My Favorite Things Blueprints 27 and foam mounted it on a black card base.

Celebrate - Its Your Day

The die cut sentiment is from Neat and Tangled, called Celebrate, and the stamped portion comes from Waffle Flower Congrats stamp set. I heat embossed the die cut sentiment in gold some 2-3 times, to get a bit of dimension before adhering it to its vellum counterpart.

I am also joining these challenges with my card –

#713 – Hugs

Hello! Presenting a clean and simple card with a somewhat rare color combination… at least for me. 😉

Hugs

I used a pale yellow cardstock along with gray and black on this card – its actually inspired by the colors of Color Throwdown challenge #474, but since pale yellow is not ivory exactly, I didn’t join the party.

I think the pale yellow actually makes it look like I’ve used wood veneer paper (at least it does IRL), so in retrospect, I might have used a wooden stamp there.. that’s the only thing I want to really change. Otherwise, I quite like the solids in the card.

Products I’ve used –
My Favorite Things Pretty Poisies stamp
My Favorite Things Stitched Interactive Window Trio die
Winnie & Walter Typecase: Cary Letters die – I’ve used black foam below the pale yellow die cuts.

#690 – Ewe Are The Best

Hello! Finally, I think I am getting a bit better in making cards with critters in them.. oh, I used to suck at making them!! I have so many critter stamps, and it used to make me so sad that I wasn’t able to make those cute things look good in my cards… Sure, I was able to color them satisfactorily, but somehow I was never satisfied with my final card.. But recently, I have been pretty happy with them. So I can now add critters to my repertoire, which has almost exclusively only had flowers until now!! 😀

So, anyway, coming to the actual card –

Ewe Are The Best

I used My Favorite Things Ewe Are The Best stamp set, watercoloring the critter and the scene using distress inks. The oval is die cut using MFT Zig-Zag Stitched Oval and the gorgeous background stamp is called Geometric Grid.

#687 – Happy Winter

Hello and welcome!

So I had to use this leftover plaid frame I had from this card. Well, that basically sums up the reason I made this card! 😀

Happy Winter

For the card base, I used distress inks, then added the MFT Winter Waves background, embossed using Ranger Sea Foam White embossing powder. On top, I added the city scene, which I die cut using MFT Skyline Border die and added the snow using MFT Stitched Snowdrifts die, on which I blended in a bit of blue. The sentiment comes from Paper Smooches Winter Sampler.
