#761 – Smile!

Hello and welcome! Ok…so I got a lil too motivated with the MFT challenges. I made another card. A third card was on its way, but I thought that would be one too many and that it might be better to save it for another challenge! 😉 So anyway, here is the second card I made –

Smile

I started with making fringes out of a few thin sheets I had. These sheets came in between OHP sheets/transparent plastic sheets that we generally use to make those shaker cards. I had saved those hoping to put those thin translucent sheets to use. Came in handy! 🙂

So anyway, I used some distress and other water reactive inks to color these, applying the ink, then the paper on top and then misting it with water to get the color on. They dried fairly quickly, and I die cut them in layers, since they were thin enough. I then layered and adhered them on a white card piece of cardstock, then die cut the piece using MFT Pinking Edge Rectangle.

I also cut out a few flowers, which I misted, stamped and fuzzy using the images from MFT Pretty Posies, and adhered them on the fringed panel using glue. I then added foam tape below, and adhered it on the card base, on which I had already adhered another panel with trimmed edges and one rounded corner.

The sentiment is die cut using MFT Emmitt Alphabet and the stamped portion is from MFT Things with Wings.

#760 – Spring Butterflies

Hello and welcome! Since it has been quite some time, I wanted to play along the MFT challenges. My card here combines the two challenges from MFT – the sketch and color challenges –

Bright Spot

I started with the butterflies. I first picked a light yellow cardstock, blended in a peach color on the bottom and die cut the butterflies. I did the same with a few pieces of vellum. I used MFT Flutter of Butterflies, both the Lace and solid dies. I then adhered the pieces using double sided tape in the center.

For the background, I used MFT Bold Blooms, trimmed the card panel and rounded of two corners. I foam mounted this on the card base. The sentiment comes from MFT Cup of Tea. I stamped this on a white strip, cut off one side at an angle, added two black lines and foam mounted it, along with the butterflies, on the card. I also embellished the card with a few white pearls.

#739 – A Monochrome Thanks

PE: Honorable Mention at CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge!!

Hello! I made a CAS card some time ago, using all greens, and leaves. And now, I think I can publish it, instead of letting it stay in the drafts section any longer! 😉

Thanks

I combined the small leaf stamps from Hero Arts Flower Garden and Simon Says Stamp Nutty Over You stamp sets. I arranged them on my acrylic block and used three shades of green inks to stamp – making a cha-cha-cha (phrase borrowed from Jennifer McGuire 😉 ) to get an ombre effect.

I also used distress oxide inks on a piece of scrap cardstock to get a green-black ombre, then die cut it using My Favorite Things Big Thanks die. To assemble, I die cut the leaf stamped panel using Neat and Tangled Scalloped die, foam mounted it on a white card base, and added the sentiment, which I had stacked three high.

#738 – Guest Designing at Tic Tac Toe challenge

Hello! Today I have the pleasure of Guest Designing at the Tic Tac Toe challenge! I am so happy and so excited!! I love this challenge, cuz we get a total 9 ways of playing along!!! Awesome!!

Here’s the Tic Tac Toe board for the challenge #38

TTTC038

I chose to use Polka Dots — Die Cuts — Happy combination. Here’s what I made –

You Make My Heart Happy

I used Technique Tuesday Lots of Dots to make the polka dotted background, and We R Memory Keepers Weave embossing folder over the teal cardstock to get some texture. The flowers are from WPlus9 Watercolored Anemones, which I stamped using distress inks, misted with water. The die cut sentiment is from Winnie & Walter In a Word: Happy, and the stamped portion is from Honey Bee Stamps Sentiment Builder. After assembling the card, I added some clear white gems to embellish the card.

#737 – Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes

PE: Featured in Lil’ Inker Designs You Made it Monday!! Yay!!! 🙂

Lil Inker Designs - Featured On You Made It Monday Badge

Hello and welcome to an all new challenge at Seize the Birthday! This time, we have a topping-free challenge, which means you can join us with any new Birthday theme project of yours!

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

I, as usual, have made a card –

Sending Warm Wishes

I used a cover plate die from Lil Inker Designs called Geometric Snow to cut out various colored cardstock. I then adhered the pieces over a gray cardstock – which is totally not visible in the final product ;), layering only the positive die cut piece, while keeping a single layer of the negative pieces. Once done, I added the sentiment from Pink & Main Wishes stamp and die. I did debate between adding some jewels, but decided against it at the end.

#731 – Love You Tag

Hello and welcome! So, after the last card, I felt that I had to try the technique again, and this time, no dimensions! I also thought to change it up to a tag, rather than make a card again –

Love You (Tag)

I used the same die cut for the letters – Winnie & Walter Typecase Cary Letters, and the flowers In Bloom: Eva’s Favorite Flowers, and a mix of MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangles and WPlus9 Timeless Tags 2 to create the tag itself.

#729 – Love with Non-traditional Colors

Hello! I managed to make a few more projects for the Winnie & Walter 4th Birthday Bash challenges. Here’s the first of a couple more –

Love Everything About You

I stamped the flowers and leaves from In Bloom: Eva’s Favorite Flowers repeatedly. I then roughly cut out a mask for the two section of flowers, and stamped the graph using Hero Arts Graph stamp. I also added a few spots around the flowers and in the flower centers for some accents After die cutting it using Essentials: Lana’s Cutaways, I foam mounted it on a brown card base. The sentiments come from The Big, The Bold and Happy stamp set.

I am joining the following Winnie & Walter 4th Birthday Bash challenges – Repetitive Stamping challenge with Crystal and Grid challenge with Keren.
