#393 -Ice Cream Love

Hello!

2016-01-05(2a)

Made this ice cream card using Reverse Confetti Love & Ice cream stamp and die. I hadn’t used these from the time I bought them last year. I am happy that the card came out so well! πŸ˜€

2016-01-05(2b)

I used black and white card stock only. The scallop on the black border is by heat embossing a stamp from Neat & Tangled Little Tangles in white. For the cup, I stamped Just Rite Burlap using Memento Rhubarb Stalk – it was bright enough for me, so I ended up re-painting the vertical lines using a red Zig brush pen. I also added black glitter on the ice-cream. I colored the cherry using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and added glitter using Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen. The rectangle panel is die cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black before adhering all the pieces together.

Scrapulechki - Top 3

Hello! Made this card a couple of days ago –

2015-12-18

I used one of the new stamp sets in my stash, and one of my favorites – Paper Trey Ink City Scene. I used a combination of inks – PTI inks – Fine Linen, Classic Kraft, Sweet Blush, Soft Cantaloupe, Lulu Lavender and Winter Wisteria – to stamp the buildings and the trees. I then stamped the falling snow using a combination of Hero Arts Soft Pool and Tide Pool. I then sponged in some Soft Pool over it, to make the sky. Finally drew a line using a black pen just below the buildings and stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Any Occasion Messages in Memento Tuxedo Black.

Love the way it turned out. Love the fact that its a one layered card!Β  πŸ˜€ The only thing I didn’t like is that one of the buildings didn’t get stamped well. 😦

#381 – Christmas Wreath

PE: Honorable Mention at Fusion!!

Hello! Back with another card for today. I made this Christmas wreath card. Making these wreaths is supposed to be really easy, I’ve known the process for some time now, but its the first time for me to make one.

2015-12-15(1a)

I made the wreath using Avery Elle Petals & Stems and Memento Inks Cottage Ivy, Bamboo Leaves, Rhubarb Stalk, Lady Bug. I misted the inks with water for some leaves and didn’t for the others. I then fuzzy cut the wreath. I then stamped the sentiment from Paper Trey Ink ‘Tis The Season in Memento Tuxedo Black and the ‘&’ from Paper Trey Ink Grand Ampersand in Versamark, and heat embossed it in silver.

2015-12-15(1b)

Then it was turn for the embellishments – I added cream and silver thread on the center of a card panel, foam mounted the wreath on top. I then added the wood veneer birds, to which I had added silver stickles. I also added the silver stickles to the red berries. I then added the sequins on the sides. Finally added the bow, a combination of the same cream and silver thread.

Some New And Some Old…

… stuff from my stash – that’s what is used in these cards –

The first card uses the latest in my collection – Reverse Confetti Leaping Lions (stamp & die).

2015-08-26(1)

I colored some scrap strips using Color Box Teal and Color Box Violet inks and die cut them using MFT Chevron Stripes, adhering them on the card base to form the background. I stamped and die cut the lion & the stand and colored the lion using my sketch pens. After stamping the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I also added a few stars behind the lion using Memento Dandelion and Versamark Orange ink and cut one end of the panel using WPLus9 Scalloped Border die, and adhered all the pieces together. I also die cut the buttons using Impression Obsession Buttons, colored them using my sketch pens. I added these along with some black string tied around the card.

I am submitting this card to Retro Sketches challengeΒ  #178 and Colour Q challenge #305

For my second card, I used one of the oldest items in my stash – Itsy Bitsy Leaf Thincuts. This is one of the first supplies I bought! πŸ™‚

2015-08-26(2)

I first made the background using kraft cardstock and pattern paper from K & Company. I then die cut a couple of leaves from brown texture paper using the Itsy Bitsy Leaf Thincuts. I then distressed it using Prima Comfort Craft Distressing tool. After adhering the whole thing, I stamped the sentiment using Fiskars Basic Font and Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Love the way the elements are concentrated in the center in this card, but still things are simple πŸ™‚ I used shell stamps from Que Sera Sera from K & Company and stamped them in Memento Bahama Blue & Danube Blue and fuzzy cut them out. I then made a square mask and colored the ‘beach’ using ColorBox Creamy Brown chalk ink. The sentiment comes from Bo Bunny Sentiments, stamped in Black Soot distress ink.
