Hello and welcome! A non-DT project this time. I got this My Favorite Things Sky-high Friends some time ago and really wanted to color it, and the time has finally arrived!
I stamped one of the ballon images on Fabriano Accademia Disegno Drawing paper with a light, almost dried out grey ink that I have. I then colored them with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, along with using mineral oil to blend and color the colors and fussy cut them. I didn’t have any cloud stencils with me, so I used some photo paper, drew cloud shapes on all four edges ensuring continuity, and cut it out to use it for stencilling the background. I used distress ink and a makeup brush to get light colors and good blending.
I then picked a scrap piece of white pardstock, drew a cloud shape on it and cut that out and foam taped it on the cloud patterened card base.
For the sentiment, I used Simon Says Stamp Painted Hugs from black cardstock along with a few extra pieces and then adhered them together. The smaller stamped sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words which also I adhered using foam tape. I then adhered the colored images on top.
And that finished my card. I’m joining the following challenges with my card –
