PE: Top at Sovushka Slavia CAS Marathon Stage 4!!
Hello! Presenting another CAS card from me.. don’t know how long I can last with these CAS cards, but I am definitely glad I am able to make them! So, no complaining and no jinxing from me!! 😀
This card is a CASE of Lindsey’s card. It is such a simple and beautiful card, using the concept of ‘coloring only one element’ which I really like in a CAS card.
I used My Favorite Things Top Dog for my cute puppies and Stamplorations Houses stamp set to create the background scene (the trees are from My Favorite Things Ewe Are the Best stamp set). When stamping on the card base, I didn’t use any masking, since I knew I would use another piece to add on the colored puppies later. So, the background scene remains one layered, and ridiculously easy to create.
I stamped and watercolored the two puppies and the large heart on watercolor paper using distress inks, fuzzy cut them, then adhered them directly on the card base. Somehow the puppies look kinda 3D in real life, and I ended up really loving how the card came out! 🙂

Fab CAS card, love the doggies against the monochrome background.
Thanks for sharing at ATSM this week. 🙂
Thank you so much Julie!
Such s cute and fun card !! Loved the watercolours puppies and superb design !
Thank you Pooja! So sweet of you!
What an adorable little scene here and those little cute puppies are watercoloured to perfection. The sketchy background street gives the impression of a slightly busy pattern but I realise it adds to the scene brilliantly. We do love that clean, unpatterned white space at Less is More but I’m thrilled to see your card in our gallery this week. Thanks so much
Thank you Sarah! I’ll have to remember that rule the next time! 🙂
A really cute little scene that makes for a very cool and contemporary card. Love the focus on the two coloured elements. It reminds me of those cartoons from a while ago. I’m not sure if you ever saw ‘Roobarb and Custard’ (it’s probably just a UK TV program) – but It brings that cartoon to my mind – happy memories! I’m with Sarah on the sketchy background – I think the two dogs and the sentiment would certainly have ticked the CAS box for me, but there’s no denying the sketchy background is awesome. Thanks so much for popping this into us at Less is More. xx
Thank you so much for your kind comments Sharon! Guess I’ll remove my entry from LIM!
Ashwini, I adore this! This scene is just perfect! And those kissing pups…love. I am so delighted that my card inspired you. You constantly inspire me with your work, and really, you’ve made my day. Thank you!

Too cute Ashwini!, Love that you just coloured the puppies.
Thank you Gwendolyn!
How adorable and flawlessly done! Also love the concept of coloring just a small portion. Despite the whole scene, the attention goes to the cute puppies! Love the no line coloring, too!
Thank you so much for your kind comments Cris!! So sweet of you! 🙂
