#759 – Beachy Birthday

PE: Honorable Mention at Timeout Challenge!

Time Out Challenge - Honorable Mention

Hello and welcome! We have a new challenge on Seize the Birthday blog. The challenge is to make birthday projects, and you also have the option of using a ‘Topping’ that is given in every challenge. And the ‘Topping’ this time is ‘Beachy Birthday’!

Seize The Birthday - The Toppings

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

I usually love to make my birthday cards with the optional Topping, and oh, I had lots of trouble with this one. I neither have any stamp sets with a beach theme, not am I adept at creating a beachy scene.. I was totally lost! Thankfully, inspiration struck, and I was able to make this neat, one layered card.

2018-05-01(1aa)

I used stamps from Reverse Confetti ‘Weather it Together’, and drew some squiggly lines for the ocean itself. I colored the scene using Zig Brush pens. The sentiment comes from Bo Bunny ‘Sentiments’ stamp set.

With this card I am joining the following challenges –

Just us Girls challenge #443: Outside

Addicted to CAS challenge #137: Sea

AAA Card Challenge #116: 4th Big Birthday Bash

23045-2523116

CAS Watercolor June Challenge: Ocean

Time Out Challenge #111: Holidays with an optional twist of One Layer Card

I hope you are inspired by this card! Check out the Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from out fabulous DT and also from our talented Surprise Party Guest, Sonja K! And don’t forget to join the party! πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for stopping by! πŸ™‚

  13. Well, for someone with no beachy products you certainly created the most fabulous beach scene!! Love how you drew the waves, the different tones of blue at a lot of interest. And the drawing/colouring of the beach itself really does look sandy. Your so clever and I love seeing you at TIME OUT!
