Hello! Its time for another challenge at the Seize the Birthday, and this time, the cake comes without toppings again! That’s right, its time for an Anything Goes challenge!
This card is actually the first card I had made for my Papa’s birthday, 3 months ago.. but I ended up changing the card, and ended up giving another card to him. Since this was still pending publishing, I decided to post it now. 🙂
I started with a watercolor panel of 9″x4.25″ and stamped the pretty images from Pink Fresh Studio Fluer 1 stamp set. I used my MISTI and used the same stamping position to stamp two corners. I used Versafine black ink for stamping.
After this dried, I watercolored the panel using Zig Brush pens. I used the pens to scribble some ink on clear plastic panel and used a brush to pick up color and do some watercoloring. I think I added atleast 3 layers of color on all of the images, and even the background.
Once done, I heat embossed the sentiment, which are from Reverse Confetti All About You and Honey Bee Stamps Hand Lettered Alpha, using black glitter embossing powder. I embossed twice on the ‘YOU’ and also added Glossy Accents on it to get some extra dimension. I then adhered this to a white card base. I also added Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops on some flower centers and here and there on the card.
