#810 – All in Black ‘n White

Hello and welcome! We have a new challenge on Seize the Birthday blog. The challenge is to make birthday projects, and you also have the option of using a ‘Topping’ that is given in every challenge. And the ‘Topping’ this time is ‘Black and White only’.

Seize The Birthday - The Toppings

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

Its truly a challenge to not have any colors except black and white in a card for me! I was tempted the whole way to add at least a small sequin in another color. Red! Purple?? Gold! Well, I held it all off! 😀

I used Spellbinders Persian Accent, die cut several pieces, adhered them, then arranged them on the opposite pieces of the black card base. The sentiment comes from Mama Elephant Ella & Friends. I just added a few clear rhinestones for embellishment.

With this card I am joining the following challenges –

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

SSS - Wednesday Challenge

Addicted to Stamps and More #326: Anything Goes

I hope you are inspired by this card! Check out the Seize the Birthday blog for more inspiration from out fabulous DT and also from our talented Surprise Party Guest, Julie Beech! And don’t forget to join the party! 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by! 🙂

  1. Yes I agree just Black and White is tough at times..but the effect is so elegant !! I loved how beautiful those die-cuts look on black ! Adding colored sequin would have taken the focus away from them 🙂

  2. This is so stunning as is…so glad you refrained from adding color…LOl. I think it would have been great but love the starkness of the black and white here! Well done once again!

  3. It was one of the hardest challenges for me too :)!!! Love how you arranged the white die cut shapes! It looks so classy!!!
