Hello and welcome! We have a special challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time we’re collaborating with our sister challenge Color Hues for a Color challenge to help them celebrate their 2nd Birthday! The bigger the party the better, wouldn’t you say? Congrats to them!
And here’s what I made –
I started with the card’s focal points. I took a strip of white cardstock and used Twisted Citron and Blueprint Sketch distress inks to add in the color, blending it in the center. I then used a die from Spellbinders Nordic Floral to die cut 4 pieces out of the strip. I also cut out a few extra panels from scrap cardstock to adhere beneath these pieces to get some dimension. While adhering, I swapped the inner die cut pieces between the full die cut pieces, and adhered them.
Next, I used Spellbinders Hemstitch Rectangles to die cut a white cardstock panel and adhered this on the white card base. I then aligned and adhered the floral die cut pieces. For the sentiment, I used Concord & 9th Painted Rose, which I stamped and fussy cut and then adhered with a little dimension beneath. And that finished my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I am so impressed with Spellbinders dies they are my go-to most recently. I really like how you have added the color to this one. Each one shaded more and more to the last one. Great job!
Yes, Spellbinders really has some amazing dies. I would buy so many of them, if I could! This one is very versatile as well!
Thank you for the kind comments as well, Barbara!
Love the lime green to navy, stunning look.
Thank you so much for your kind words , Aileen!
I really like the swapping that you did. It highlights the colorful die cuts so much more!
Thank you sis! Its a great way to use this die as well!! 😀
I really love the blended color gradient on your focal point and the way you mixed it up. Beautiful!
Thank you so much Jules!! ❤
Fun images! There are some very tiny pieces to them 🙂
Thank you Vicki! In fact, I didn’t use all the tiny pieces – only 3 for each die. I didcarded the other tiny ones! 😀
Great job with those die cuts with the tiny inlaid pieces Ashwini. I now it took time to do that. Love your ink blending before die cutting them.
In fact, I didn’t use all the tiny pieces – only 3 for each die. Thank you very much for your kind words, JoAnn!
Such a cute card! I might be casing you very soon!
Yay! Thank you Nancy! 😘
This is stunning, I love how you have used those colours and what a wonderful die. I am going to have to look out for that one. Did you manage to cut the hemstitch die without any of the tiny squares falling? Well done you, if you did and equally well done if you had to replace even a few of those tiny pieces. This is such a striking card xx
Thank you very much Hilary! I hadn’t planned to keep the tiny squares in, but since they happened to be, I just left it as is – as it is so rare for me!! 😁
Fab card, Ashwini! Love the colour gradation.
Thank you Shirley!
So much detail here Ashwini and love how much dimension you added and the sentiment is the perfect colour and font for this card x
Thank you so much for stopping by and for leaving me such kind words, Sandie!
