#804 – Birthday Tags

Hello and welcome to yet another new challenge at Seize the Birthday! This time we have the optional topping of ‘Tags’, meaning you can join us with a birthday project carrying a coffee or tea theme, or, if it is not your thing, you are free to join us with any birthday project at all – your choice!

Seize The Birthday - The Toppings

Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes

I was a bit lost on what to make for this challenge – a big tag itself, or a card with a tag on it. I decided to go with a card with a tag, but then, started wondering how to place it. Well, finally, I decided to go with the tag with the sentiments already in it – makes things easier! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I used Fabriano Elle Erre Brina cardstock. Love the visual texture on this cardstock! I used pretty images in Neat & Tangled Scandinavian Prints and stamped them on the cardbase in a diagonal. I added a few dots on the flower centers and also in some larger gaps using a black marker. I then die cut the sentiment using Neat & Tangled Birthday Tags using two pieces of cardstock – I used partial die cutting for the larger piece to get the pattern at the bottom, then cut the rest using my trimmer. I tied the two pieces together using a piece of jute cord, then foam mounted it on the cardstock. Finally used a few pieces of Lucy’s Cards Bridal Mix gemstones.

Thank you so much for stopping by! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Happy to see your beautiful card Ashwini !! Loved the use of the cardstock ( which reminds me to use one!!)The background looks pretty with scandavian florals.

  2. If that background doesn’t look like DP! WOW! Such a great card Ashwini!! Holiday Blessings to you and your family! So happy to continue to work along side you in 2019. HUGS too!

  3. The tag is so cute and the background is just WOW!!! Love the down toned colors you used to stamp! It looks like a printed pattern on the Fabriano Elle Erre Brina cardstock!
