#924 – STB: Three Shades of Green

Hello and welcome! We have a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time, the Topping chosen by Vicki is ‘Three Shades of Green‘. Of course, you are free to choose to not go with this topping, since our Anything Goes challenge is always there, you can just join with any fresh birthday project you create!

And this is what I made –

I started with stamping the leaves from Altenew Build A Flower: Rose and Fabulous Floral stamps in three different shades of green inks. I stamped it on a linen textured cardstock for some additional texture. I then die cut and fussy cut the leaves.

For the sentiment I chose Reverse Confetti Tall Blooms. I debated between adding them by stacking the die cuts or adhering them directly with a single layer of die cuts, but finally decided on adhering them directly. After stamping it on a white cardstock using black ink, I arranged the leaves around it, then adhered them so that the leaf ends are free so I can curve it a bit.

I then trimmed the cardstock and splattered some green and black splatters on top. Once that dried, I adhered the panel over a dark green cardbase. I hope that doesn’t count for an extra shade of green! 😉
